The formidable "Peaks class" where first introduced to British Rail in 1960, initially on Midlands and Eastern region. They were a familiar site on the Trans Pennine route until replaced in 1988.
At over 8 foot long, this is a large and impressive model boasting no less than 6 motors driving 12 of the sixteen wheels. It runs on two large 12 volts batteries giving performance to match it looks.
