A Maxitrak Kit is supplied complete with
all parts fully machined, and with every part necessary to complete
a fully working locomotive.
A range of hand tools will
be required to complete the model, For example spanners, files, a hand
drill etc.

The Chassis is a one-piece casting
incorporates buffer beam, couplers, stretchers, footplate and
rivet detail etc. (small steam only)
A steel chassis is used on larger engines.

On all Maxitrak
Locomotives the cylinders are manufactured from cast gunmetal.
All the component parts that make up a cylinder
set are machined and retained together, to ensure "good fit"
and trouble free operation. |
Axels run in bronze bearings
with fully sprung "hornless or equalised" axle-boxes.
The chassis comes fully assembled with wheels, axles and crank
pins fitted and quatered. |

The Boiler is
of conventional coal fired locomotive type, all copper fully flanged
and 100% silver soldered, working pressures range upto 100psi
and are fully tested.
All maxitrak boilers are made by reputible boiler makers and are ceritfied.
